Terms & Conditions
Please note by registering your child you are also agreeing to adhere to our terms and conditions as set out below. Please read before booking a place in a class.
Class Bookings:
Classes run similar to school term.
You can join a class at any time in the term if there is a place available.
Your first class is usually a one-off payment and after this class are paid monthly via subscription. This payment is taken on the 1st of every month.
Sickness & Holidays and Other Absence:
Due to rent, wages and cost of materials, we are unable to offer concessions for sickness, holidays or cancellations, but we may be able to fit you into another class that week. Please arrange with a member of staff.
Regretfully you are unable to carry missed sessions over to the new term, nor can we hold a space for a child for free. If for whatever reason, you can no longer attend, please inform us at least two weeks before a new monthly session has started, so we can inform a family on our waiting list, or advertise the space that has become available.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
If our staff are unable to run your class because of illness etc you will be notified as soon as possible of the cancellation. You will either receive a full refund or have the option to transfer the amount over to the next month.
In certain exceptional circumstances BKLL may be prevented from running classes due to situations beyond our control. These may include floods or treacherous driving conditions (snow or ice) which would pose a risk to staff and parents/carers if they ventured onto the roads. On these occasions, we would endeavour to offer a 'catch up' class at the end of the term.
Health & Safety
The health & safety of children and parents/carers in our classes is of paramount importance.
Toys and equipment are cleaned and checked each time they are used and removed if necessary. The venue is risk assessed regularly.
Attending adults must accept full responsibility for the safety of their child/ children during the session.
Parents are asked to keep their children at home if they have a serious infection and to inform staff of the nature of the infection so that other parents can be alerted if required.
When entering or leaving the building, we ask parents/ carers to never leave children unattended, especially near the staircase, or in the car park.
Medical information
If you child has any medical conditions, or allergies that you feel we should be aware of, please inform the team as soon as possible. At Big Kids Little Learners, we want to ensure that we are meeting the needs of every child whilst always keeping them safe.
Parking
Although there is parking within Minerva works, we ask that these spaces are left for the businesses that own the units. Instead, we advise that families, park on Miller Street, as this is a free parking area. We ask that driveways to homes are not blocked when parking.
Younger Siblings
We recommend that if families can, to arrange alternative childcare for younger siblings. However we also realise that this is not always possible and ask if younger siblings do attend class that parents and carers take full responsibility for the safety of their child. As most of our resources and activities are aimed towards 3–5-year-olds, some may not be suitable for younger children.
Use of content and materials
We ask that when attending Big Kids Little Learners, you do not pass information regarding our content to competitive groups, or use our content for yourself for similar businesses. When buying our resources, they must only be used for personal use and not commercial.
